ABOUT US AND FURNITURE PLUS S.L.
We are Roy and Christine Jones, we arrived in Spain in May 2004 after buying an old Cortijo with 2 ares of land and out buildings. After being here a few months we started to set up Furniture Plus which was the first English shop to open in Aguilas in January 2005. From day one we sold to Spanish and English customers even though most of our clients are English.
We were lucky, we had made a lot of friends and had been in contact with estate agents and other businesses in the surrounding area and they made a great networking team, which was important as in those days there was not the social media that we have today.
We opened our second shop in Alhama de Murcia Febuary 2006. This showroom was on the Industrial Estate but was the first one as you drove into the estate. This was another success from the word go. We chose this area because Polaris World now known as Condado and Camposol etc were within ten to twenty minutes drive from us.
Our third shop was in Purias Between Aguilas and Lorca we opened in September 2007. It was opposite Purias Market which is on Sundays and we were opened 7 days a week.
We them moved Furniture Plus to Puerto de Mazarron in March 2012 and have grown from strength to strength. As you can see we have been selling furniture in the Costa calida Area for 13 years now. We have lots of past customers returning to us and most of our customers are from recommendations.
We are respected for our professional attitude and great service. If there are any problems with ourproducts or something goes wrong we will sort it out. Should the problem take a little longer for any reason we have been know to lend sofas or beds until we can sort out the problem. It would be very foolish of us not to say things do not go to plan from time to time but whatever it takes we solve the problem to our customers satisfaction. Thank goodness it does not happen very often. It is very important to us that our customers are happy with their experience with us. We have a good relationship with our Estate Agents because of attention to detail and customer service.
We sell one item to full furniture packages and give our customers choices, this allows them to mix and match our packagaes to suit their requirements. We do site visit if required, we advise people on what would suit their property and what be suitable for the function of their property. We listen to our customers and help them with what their needs are.
We have a large warehouse at the back of the showroom where we keep our stock which allows us to deliver within 24 hours. It has been known for a customer to arrive in the showroom straight from the airport, buy a basic full furniture package, have it delivered in the afternoon all completed by 6.00 p.m.
We deliver to all the local surrounding areas for free of charge and will deliver further afield if required making a delivery charge according to area of the property.
So at present we are delivering to clients from Mojacar, Vera, Albox up to Alicante as long as the men can get back in the day.
